Unlike the previous, rather massive Air Release structure, this new gel design features a multitude of small protrusions with holes on the sides that allow for even more effective, horizontally oriented air circulation and increased shock absorption. The protrusions not only create a cushioning effect when compressed, but also a refreshing airflow that keeps the horse's back perfectly dry. In addition, the new open dimple structure requires less material, resulting in a significant weight reduction of the gel pad (almost 20% less compared to previous Air Release pads).
