Beautiful thoroughbred pony mix gelding looking for home - We are looking for a new home for Douka with a heavy heart:
The price is so cheap because transport costs etc are added, but I would like a good home in Germany for him. (Professional transport costs are about 2000 -3000 to Germany, but self pickup would of course be possible).
I am convinced he would be perfect for a young rider with riding experience who wants his first pony/horse that he can keep for a long time and do everything with.
He is a mix of English Thoroughbred (about 40% and the Greek Aravani Pony).
He really combines exactly what you would imagine such a mix to be. He is a gaited horse, that comes from the Arravani, has the pony size and the cute face and the cuddly nature of a pony, but the build, speed, power and sensitivity of a galloper.
Generally he is very sweet in the arena and in the cross country he likes to run.... He goes alone in the terrain everywhere long. He is absolutely street proof, cars, motorcycles etc do not scare him.
He has a lot of energy, so he is not suitable for complete beginners. But he loves people, is very curious, likes to be kept busy, learns quickly.
I haven't had much opportunity to jump, but I think he would be super suited for that and that would be really fun for him! I can also imagine dressage well, because he offers things on his own, like gathered almost standing canter and trot etc..
I'm giving him away because unfortunately I don't have enough time to keep him busy enough and he doesn't fit in well with our herd.
I am convinced someone can be very, very happy with him....
