Myler Bit Olive Head / Eggbutt Bit - Width: 11,5cm - similar to Billy Allen Bit - I sell this Myler bit with 11.5 cm width. It is said to be the softest bit from Myler and lies very well in the mouth. It has no nutcracker effect and due to its stable position in the horse's mouth, the horse can understand the aids very well and clearly. The Myler bit can be used both as a western snaffle and as a gentle bit for other riding styles.

"Myler level 1 bits are the most gentle bits from Myler. They turn on the tongue when accepting the reins and act on them. The side bars rest on the loading and lips, but without pinching them.They are especially designed for horses or riders who are still at the beginning of their riding career....

MOUTHPIECE: The MS 02 has a Billy Allen-like mouthpiece with a wide cuff and copper roller, which exerts a slight downward pressure on the tongue and falls inward on the chinstraps.The roller is used especially to calm horses with restless mouths.The cuff with roller acts on the center of the tongue and rolls downward on it. The two sides of the mouthpiece move independently of each other, allowing the rider to lift one side of the bit away from the tongue towards the load. This allows one side of the horse to be specifically isolated and one shoulder to be lifted.Compared to a traditional double-breasted mouthpiece, the collar distributes pressure much more gently.When the reins are picked up, the mouthpiece turns fully on the tongue to apply the necessary pressure and teach the horse to yield to the pressure of the bit on the neck. The side arms of the mouthpiece are bent to allow the bit to rest on the loading and lips, rather than pinching them as soon as it rests on the tongue. This bend automatically creates more room for the tongue under the bit. When pressure is applied to both reins, the interaction of pinching, restriction and rewarding relief is utilized, the nutcracker effect is virtually eliminated due to the design of the bit.BACKBUTT: The Eggbutt rings of the bit act directly when the reins are picked up, the identical pressure on the reins is transmitted to the horse's mouth. The signal is clearer than with a loose O-ring bit, and the olive head design avoids stressing the tongue. The straight side of the olive head ring cannot be pulled through the horse's mouth and thus does not pinch."
