Has a relieving effect on horses that lie on the hand or tend to walk on the forehand. It transmits the aids clearly and sensitively and encourages the horse to push upwards off the hand. Since this behavior usually occurs in horses with thick (fleshy) tongues, the wings are particularly curved to give the tongue plenty of room. Tongue defects can be improved. Popular with Haflingers, Friesians and Quarterhorses. The bit should be chosen a little wider, when buckling, pay attention to the arrow on the left side of the mouthpiece!
For horses that are comfortable with the connecting mouthpiece, the D-ring, similar to an olive head snaffle, provides support for balancing in tight turns.
