Quarter mare "Pretty Cookie" looking for nice new home - Cookie is looking for a new loving home!
So far, a lot of ground work has been done with her, currently she is ridden 1-2 times a week. Cookie reacts very well to weight aids, so she often doesn't know exactly what is required when beginners don't give her clear help. She was shod with Duplos for a few months, currently she is barefoot.
What are Cookie's qualities? She is an affectionate, very people-oriented and willing to work mare with a balanced character. If you treat her with appropriate calmness, she is a reliable and curious leisure horse. So far she has been ridden in English, but she would certainly also enjoy working equitation or could be retrained for recreational western riding.
What do I wish for my mare: A horse person with enough time, experience, patience and loving consistency in dealing with a horse. A stress-free place in a small herd with enough paddock or pasture (no pure box keeping!).
What Cookie does not like: Stress, for example because there are too few places to sleep or eat, or when there is unrest in the herd. Pressure and impatience during training, with her you will reach your goal mainly with praise and patience. She loves children, but she is not suitable as a school horse.
