Beautiful, well-behaved Icelander - Location: 27246 Borstel As Aki (Frakki vom Steinbuckel), born in 2011, unfortunately does not fit into the herd with 4 older ladies, we are looking for a new home for him after a short time with a heavy heart. Aki is a real treasure to handle, always friendly, polite, respectful and very people-oriented, he comes when called and enjoys every bit of attention to the full. He is also absolutely exemplary when it comes to the farrier, vet, trailer driving etc. Aki was adopted rather "less well ridden", he was probably mainly ridden by children and youngsters in the field with the previous owners (i.e. he is not well gymnasticized and not very muscular). Since he has been back in training, he has made good progress very quickly and it would be important for this training to continue, as he has good potential according to his trainer. You can see that he can basically do a lot in the area of dressage (leg yields, hind and forehand turns etc.) and always tries to do everything well and correctly. His strength is clearly the tölt, which he always offers on his own initiative (even to inexperienced riders) and which is really great to ride, as is his walk. The trot can and the canter should be trained further. He is currently mainly ridden here in the arena (gymnastics, balance etc.) and goes out on rides alone or in a group. He seems to know everything off-road and is always well-behaved. On his own, however, he still needs a bit of security from the rider. Although he is not small (+-1.40), he is rather narrow and therefore not a weight carrier (up to max. 70 kg, preferably less). He has no bad habits such as bucking, mounting, going through etc. and no diseases, eczema or similar. He runs barehoof without any problems, has of course been wormed and vaccinated regularly and has recently been examined by an osteopath. Aki is a really nice leisure and/or family horse for relaxed rides and arena work. He is also perfectly suitable for novice gaited horses as well as for beginners and children (he had with the previous owner), although it would be desirable for him to be accompanied by a trainer with lessons or riding to get him into the condition he could be in. So he is an all-round great and really beautiful little guy in his prime, who bonds easily and intensively with his owner and with whom you can have a lot of fun, but who, as I said, still needs further training. It would be great if he could go to another gelding or at least younger horses; he is not really happy with the old ladies, who just want to have their peace and quiet, and they are not happy with him, which is why the sad decision was made in favor of the horse, although he has already grown very fond of him due to his charm despite his rather short time.
