Handsome, unused gelding with a promising pedigree - Unfortunately, I would like to part with my current 4-year-old gelding Darius W for personal reasons. I only lunged him and bought him raw directly from the breeder in December 2023, first worked/desensitized him from the ground and gently started breaking him in from January 2024. Since then, he has been living in a group of geldings in an open stable, where he has been given a lower ranking. He is shod with irons at the front and synthetic shoes at the back. He was last seen by a dentist in 02/2024, has been wormed regularly and is constantly fed mineral feed. Darius has a very good walk, real but not hypermobile trot and a great, ground covering canter. His gaits are comfortable to sit. When free jumping he shows himself to be capable and with potential for the upper sport. Of course, in keeping with his age, he occasionally tests his limits, but to date he has never become vicious or uncontrollable. He is always friendly and open-hearted. He knows dual activation, double lungeing, free jumping, jumping over terrain obstacles in hand/lungeing (water, ditches, jumps up/down, hog backs, barrel jumps etc.), a few elements of a trail course (bridge, tire, etc.) and obviously enjoys it. I rode him off-road early on (this was my initial focus), which he knows both on his own and in company, and he has already been confronted with game, cows, milk trucks, various agricultural machines, dogs etc. as a result. I only recently started working under saddle in the riding arena, where he can be ridden very well in hand, but is still quite green behind the ears. So far, we've only jumped over a small tree trunk when riding out, and he also knows how to ride into water. He has not yet jumped under saddle in the arena. So far, he has been constantly doing cavaletti work on the lunge line once a week. I would like to see him in hands that are experienced and kind to young horses. Up to now, I have mainly ridden him (170 tall, weighing approx. 65 kg), a friend of mine has also taken him out on her own and he lets my 1-year-old daughter sit on his back. So he has never bucked anyone off, never mounted or anything similar. Out of consideration for his exclusively good experiences under saddle and to keep riding tourism away, a test ride is only possible if there is a serious intention to buy and I have gained an insight into how the rider rides (e.g. videos, etc.). He was brought to me directly from the breeder in a small horse transporter (small truck), where there were supposedly no problems. He willingly gets into a 2-horse trailer, but obviously still has stress when driving (sweating, trembling). You should therefore be aware that driving a trailer still requires routine and confidence. He recently suffered from acute corneal inflammation. A vet's report is available. Otherwise, he does not suffer from any diseases that I know of. Small sales examination from November 2023 is available. AKU can of course be carried out at any time with the vet you trust. For more information or videos please contact me (due to availability by phone please use whats app for the time being). Darius is regularly worked in a way that is suitable for young horses and continues to be trained gently. We load him weekly for training purposes and to build up more and more confidence in trailer driving.
