Conventional saddles with gullet plates do not allow enough movement in the shoulder area. In addition, the gullets are adapted to a specific training and muscular condition and can only be changed to a limited extent. If the gullets are asymmetrically adapted to a horse because it has different trapezius muscles, these muscles cannot change at all due to changes in training, hoof correction, etc., as the adapted gullet plate does not allow this.

The saddle trees of over 90% of horses are "standard saddle trees", with short backs, narrow or almost non-existent withers, sloping backs, long backs, unilaterally muscled backs, different shoulder characteristics...

What is different?
The HBS saddle does not have a fixed gullet plate, but is independent on both sides and can be adjusted to the shoulders at any time. Shoulder freedom. In addition, there are steel springs that open independently of each other. A newly developed padding system enables the rider's weight to be evenly distributed over the entire contact surface of the saddle.
This means that the saddle adapts independently to every movement of the horse.
Uneven muscular development is thus balanced out by the saddle without fixing the condition. This means that muscles can be rebuilt without having to have the saddle constantly adjusted. Even changes in the horse's weight due to illness/summer/winter no longer play a role in the fit of the saddle!
At the same time, the seat area takes into account the anatomical pressure points of the rider's pelvis. This means that every rider sits exactly vertical with ease.

This creates the ideal conditions for young horses in particular to build up the strong muscles they need to accompany their rider pain-free into the higher classes of equestrian sport.
The HBS saddle makes it possible to balance the rider without restricting the horse's movement. It can now arch its back and achieve a new level of shoulder freedom, regardless of training level, riding style, breed or horse type. This means that any sporting activity can be accommodated individually.
Show jumpers in particular will appreciate the fact that the entire rider's weight is not applied to the horse's shoulder girdle via the gullet plate during the landing phase, but instead uses a movable cushion system that gently transfers the force to the trapezius muscles.
The landing pain of show jumpers is now a thing of the past.
