Icelandic stallion, approx. 1.45m, experienced. Tournament horse. - Kolviður is a five gaited stallion and over 1.45 m tall. He embodies the very modern Icelandic horse type: extremely high legged, elegant build with yet solid bone structure, high neck set with slender neck, well tapered, athletic build in a paint black color. He is a bright black stallion with a good willingness to go, always wants to please his rider and has a cool, balanced temperament with fine reactions. In a group or all alone, with or without mares, in front or behind - Kolviður always goes forward diligently, listens well to the rider and does not let anything distract him. He knows almost everything a horse should know: Leisure rides alone and in a group (up to 20 riders), different terrains, clinics, ground work, simple lunge and double lunge, tournaments, different riders, children's riding lessons with 8-year-olds and 11-year-olds, riding with hagging dogs. An extremely pleasant, sensitive stallion with a reliable character and strong nerves! He scored several individual scores above 6.5 in his third start in the T2/T4 test!
Many of Kolviður's siblings are already well known breeding and sport horses and started very successfully at the WEG and/or Landsmót, for example:
- Töru-Glóð frá Kjartansstöðum (IS2006282342, FIZO 8.28 overall four-gaited with 9.5 for form u.d. rider, 9.0 for tölt, trot, character & willingness to walk, neck-back shoulder!), qualified for the Landsmót 2014 breeding and 2016 in sport, Töru-Glóð is among the best 10 of the total 557 offspring of her sire Dynur frá Hvammi.
